You can shoot most calibers, but no armor piercing, green tip, or magnum rounds. We provide lunch for a $5 donation, and we really appreciate help with setup and breakdown. It’s simple: bring $15 or a box of clays, and shoot all the clays you want. You have to bring your own ammo. We set up 2 Lincoln throwers on one of the trap ranges and take turns launching and shooting. We cook lunch on the grill, so bring a $5 donation. This is a great way to meet other members and shoot a bunch of different shotguns. We set up a few courses of fire, and run them several times. Sometimes we run teams. Friendly competition for best time, great coaching, and skill building. NOTE: these events are not for the beginning shooter. We encourage all shooters to become proficient with static bench shooting before “running and gunning”. AR platforms are preferred for ease of uniformity, .223 / 5.56. No 300 blackout, green tip, or armor piercing rounds please. Pistol – 9mm, .45, .40, no magnum rounds. Holster and holster certification is required. This program includes clinics that support practical and safe gun handling skills in a dynamic environment. The ARPC has been conducting Carbine clinics for its members since 2015. This particular mentoring program addresses shooter mindset, basic marksmanship, barriers, movement, malfunctions, holster work, magazine drills, target selection and transitions. We have an assembly line set up near the club shed on the Barnes multipurpose range to knock out as many as we can in 3-4 hours. We have it down to a science!
